New Skeeter Skat Family Portrait 2025
Whaaaaaaaat? December 1st? Impossible! This year has flown by and Skeeter Skat celebrated one full season in Tennessee and a whole year of living here. We miss our Montana dearly, but this has been a great move for the business as Skeeter Skat is getting in the hands of more people as we have moved from a low population state to a high population area. We did several festivals and many local farmers markets which were really good for feed back and converting the “Deet Monkeys”, the people who thought they had to use Deet, that nothing else worked. We were super happy to prove them wrong! Trying to meet friends and like minded people, we found a Fly Fishing show in Maggie Valley NC, not too far from the TN border in which we sold Skeeter Skat and did great. We found a few more we will hit this next year, trying to keep much of our Montana life alive here in TN.
Our production demands were higher than ever this year! Skeeter Skat now has it’s own lab. Clay outfitted it with awesome metal shelves, big work counters and lots of storage area as well. AND, thankfully, my brother Marco (engineer) built us some production aides that will allow me to make more Skeeter Skat quicker!
So now with our 5 products we ended the year with a wholesale trade show in Sevierville, TN. We even had a few Montana businesses shop with us at the show and was great to re-make those connections. We had to change our labels to MADE in USA instead of Montana 🙁 that made us both sad… but we were BORN in MT and always will have that! Next year we will have another label change, more info and QR codes to boot!
We also lost our beloved SS mascot “Amigo”. Many of you were used to seeing him at the Skeeter Skat booth, smiling and saying hi to all.
Amigo, first Skeeter Skat K-9 booth Ambassador! Miss you buddy!
And though we didn’t plan on a new buddy/mascot, we ended up with “Jack Frost” or Jac, and he is learning the ropes, and doing a pretty good job of being the new Mascot.
Meet Jac our new SS K-9 Ambassador!
So Happy New Year Skeeter Skat Customers and Fans! We appreciate those of you who tried our product when you were not sure, those of you who bought as gifts for friends and family! The shops in MT that continued to order…We appreciate you all very much!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!
Cheers!
